Opening ceremony

The opening ceremony is planned in a form of dressed-up fans marching from both market squares: in Cieszyn and Cesky Cesin. Their meeting point will be located on Friendship Bridge where the official opening will take place. Both mayors confirmed their presence.

Exhibitions

We are planning exhibitions to present the history of Czech, Polish and Slovakian fandoms in fanzines, fan publications and photos.

Awards ceremony and closing ceremony

At the Tricon 2010 three fandoms – European, Czech and Polish – will present their awards. This will make the award ceremony (and at the same time the closing ceremony) one of the longest in history, although we are pretty sure that there were longer Hugo award ceremonies.

The Czech fandom will present their Karl Čapek Literary Award and Ludvik Award.

The Polish fandom will grant, for the 25th time, their Janusz A. Zajdel Award in two categories: Best Novel and Best Short Story.

The European fandom will present ESFS HALL OF FAME Awards in categories:

  • Best Author
  • Best Translator
  • Best Promoter
  • Best Magazine
  • Best Publisher
  • Best Artist
  • and Encouragement Awards.
