Infrastructure
Eurocon 2010 will take place in Cieszyn and Český Těšín – a beautiful, historical town, divided by Czech-Polish border. In 2010 the town will celebrate its 1200th anniversary.
The main convention site will be the Silesian University campus, situated within 20 minutes walk from the border. Lecture halls will house all the essential program items.

Student accommodation (for about 700 people) in the same complex are to be used by conventioneers.
Community and cultural center “Střelnice” is located just across the border; some program items will be held there.
On the border crossing itself – Bridge of Friendship – we will stage the happening, being the element of opening ceremony and other festivities in the first day of the con.
Movie enthusiasts will find some attractions in the PIAST cinema (Cieszyn’s town square). Each day Czech (or Czechoslovakian) sf movie will be shown there.
Main events: awards presentation, opening and closing ceremony – will take place in a newly built sport hall.
