Croatian Bid for Eurocon 2012

Wednesday August 18th, 2010

The Croatians, as we already informed you, are bidding for the Eurocon 2012 to be organized in Zagreb, against the British and their convention Olympus. But our Slavic collegues aren’t planning to sell their skins cheap.

Recently they launched a promotional website, which you can visit HERE.

Below you can find a short, funny promo clip.

Masquerade

Saturday August 14th, 2010

We decided to organise Masquerade as a Hall Costume competition. You should have received three Hall Costume Tokens in your membership pack (they’re most likely hidden in your ID holder.) Give them to people you see wearing particularly impressive costumes at the convention. The person who collects most tokens will win the prize. The winner will be announced during the Awards ceremony.
If you want to take part in Hall Costume competition, all you have to do is:
A) dress up and walk the halls in your costume
B) get a voting card where you’ll stick the tokens you get – available at the Reception and in the Org Room
C) by 4 p.m. on Saturday return your voting card to Ola Cholewa in Org Room, so that we can count the tokens.

Gopher T-shirt

Thursday August 12th, 2010

We proudly present the design for gopher’s T-shirt: the T-shirt you can’t buy, you can only get it for working a given amount of hours at the convention.

The robot is a character from the game “Machinarium” by Amanita Design.
